Lab work is an essential part of any chemistry course, but time constraints can make it difficult to complete college-level labs in a meaningful way. In this workshop, you will not only be provided with quick and meaningful labs that have been proven to work, but also learn how to modify your existing labs to fit within a typical high school class period of 50 minutes or less while increasing student comprehension and engagement. Examples of modified labs used in both high school and university settings will be analyzed. You will also get try out a number of labs yourself, plus receive handouts of these labs to take home! The labs presented covered will include topics such as acid-base titration, entropy, equilibrium and kinetics.
