Conference Pocket Guide and App

There will be the traditional BCCE Pocket Guide for you to use that has information about the technical program (talks, posters, workshops), plenary speakers, Community Conversations, Birds of a Feather, Exhibits, Code of Conduct, Social Media, and Sponsors.  We will also have a BCCE 2022 App for you to use. Please check our website for more information in late July.

General Program Information  

BCCE 2022 begins at 2:00 PM on Sunday July 31 and ends at 12:30 PM on Thursday August 4. West Lafayette, IN is in Eastern time zone (same as New York City), and we observe daylight savings time. The daily schedule is shown below.  Our programming committee has created a schedule that allows for more time for conversations and interactions.  There is a morning break for poster sessions and conversation, a 90-minute lunch break, an afternoon break, and evening receptions.  

Community Conversations 

At BCCE 2022 there will be Community Conversations in the afternoon and evenings with the ACS Exams Institute, the Journal of Chemical Education, and the Biennial Conference Committee where you will learn more about each of these important entities. The dates, locations, and times are noted in the schedule above.  Also note in the schedule that The Mole group is back on Sunday evening. We encourage you to attend and engage with these important groups in our community! 

Birds of a Feather

There will be “Birds of a Feather” (BoaF) sessions held from 1-2 PM Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday where conference participants may gather to discuss topics of a common interest – e.g., online chemistry learning, online laboratory, AP chemistry, organic chemistry, capstone laboratory experiences, inclusive pedagogies, etc. Please see the schedule above for the dates and locations of these meetings.

As you plan your travel, please plan to join us for our opening plenary at 2:00 PM EDT to kick off the conference! We look forward to seeing you this summer!
