Advanced rubric development for the assessment of mechanism exam questions in the second-year organic chemistry course sequence

A follow-up workshop designed for attendees of the initial workshop run at BCCE 2018 or attendees must also register for the initial workshop offered earlier in the week at this conference (BCCE 2022). Specifically, as a group we will review the data collected from attendees at the previous two workshops and discuss the results in the context of student learning as it relates to the chemistry education literature. We intend to generate a working, tentative rubric for practitioners to utilize in the assessment of mechanism-focused problems in organic chemistry.
